Hey there! I’m Brian, the voice and heart behind GenX Prepper. Born and raised during the Generation X era, I’ve been a firsthand witness to the transition from analog to digital, vinyl to CDs, and the ever-evolving dance of technology, culture, and society. Throughout all these shifts, one principle has remained steadfast – the significance of preparedness.
My Story
Growing up as a proud Gen X’er, I cherished the unique balance of outdoor adventures, awaiting the streetlights to signal home time, and the excitement of navigating the early realms of personal computers and gaming consoles. This blend of the old and new worlds has bestowed upon me a distinctive outlook on the importance of being prepared in both conventional and contemporary ways.
Throughout the years, my career as a Firefighter has placed me in the middle of disasters, both nature’s fury and man’s making. From the Y2K concerns to economic downturns, pandemics, hurricanes, and the ever-shifting global political landscape, life’s experiences reiterated a pivotal lesson: Always Be Prepared.
